Creep with a long criminal record caught in the gruesome serial rape of a 12-year-old girl in a building in New York City

The pervert accused of repeatedly raping a 12-year-old girl in a Bronx building late last year was arrested on a warrant Wednesday, police said.

Thomas Barnaby, 30 – who has six outstanding arrests – was nabbed about 12 hours after the NYPD announced he was wanted for the “multiple” rape of the underage daughter between December 19 and 23, 2023, according to police and other sources.

Barnaby was charged with first-, second- and third-degree rape, predatory sexual assault of a child, first-degree sexual abuse, forcible touching, child-injurious act and second- and third-degree sexual abuse in connection with the disturbing series of crimes, police said.

The attacks took place in a residential building on the corner of East 165th Street and River Avenue in the Concourse neighborhood, police said.

His exact relationship to the young victim is unclear.

Barnaby, of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, was arrested in the Bronx, police said.

Barnaby’s most serious previous arrest was for a robbery in 2016 and he was also charged with theft of official duties, law enforcement officials said.
