Police: Woman charged again after domestic incident

WESTPORT — A 47-year-old woman has been charged with assault and other crimes following a domestic disturbance earlier this month, police said.

Sherline Lorius, of Westport, was charged May 8 with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and violating a protective order. According to police, she was charged with similar charges last month in connection with a domestic incident.

On May 4, officers were dispatched to investigate a resident’s complaint that a relative – Lorius – had “allegedly assaulted and threatened” the complainant. According to police, Lorius’ behavior also violated a protection order.

An arrest warrant was issued for Lorius and she was arrested at her home on May 8th. She was released on a promise to appear later in state Supreme Court in Stamford.
