Thieves break into Minister Salvini’s house at night: safe intact, investigations underway

Thieves broke into the house of the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, in Rome. It happened last night, just before midnight, when some people broke the window of a house north of the capital and then turned the entire apartment upside down. No one was home, but some neighbors noticed what was happening and called 911. Officers from the Ponte Milvio Police Station of the State Police responded to the scene. Initial investigations show that the safe was intact, but it is unclear whether anything else was stolen. Investigations are currently underway to determine the dynamics and identify the perpetrators of the incident.
