Cold case that left three Clayton County deaths solved 11 years later

The case dates back to Jan. 13, 2013, when three bodies were found in a Dodge Charger near Interstate 85.

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. – An 11-year-old murder case in Clayton County has finally been solved after four suspects were arrested Friday, according to the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said it arrested Kenneth Thompson, Keante Harris, Kevin Harris and Darrell Harris on three counts each of first-degree murder. Her age was not stated.

The case dates back to January 13, 2013, when Union City police officers were patrolling the area of ​​Interstate 85 in Fulton County and spotted a 2010 Dodge Charger that appeared to be abandoned.

When officers reached the car, they found three bodies inside. During the investigation, police determined that the three people were tortured, murdered in Clayton County and then thrown into the car in Fulton County.

Police said the victims were lured to a home on Magnolia Drive in Jonesboro, where they were forced into the home at gunpoint. After they were killed, they were loaded into the back seat of the Charger.

Eleven years later, the sheriff said Clayton County Police Chief Kevin Robert and his team were able to solve the cold case and get murder charges from Clayton County District Attorney Tasha Mosley and her team.

The four suspects were taken into custody in three states within 48 hours, the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office said.
