Milton man dead after morning crash in Santa Rosa County: FHP

A new report found that traffic fatalities in New York increased in 2021

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) – A Milton man is dead following a crash early Sunday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

In a press release, FHP troopers stated that an unnamed 64-year-old Milton man was killed in a car crash that occurred at approximately 2:27 a.m. on Sunday, July 28, on State Road 4 west of Pitnic Road.


INTERSECTION POINT:

According to the news release, the man was driving an SUV eastbound on State Road 4 when the vehicle left the roadway and entered the grass verge. The man oversteered, causing the vehicle to swing clockwise across the road and enter the north grass verge.

The vehicle overturned, struck trees and eventually came to a stop on the left side of the north grass verge with the front of the vehicle facing north, the news release said.

The man was pronounced dead after the accident, FHP said.
