Man arrested in connection with fatal July shooting | News

The Shreveport Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit made an arrest in connection with the July 17 shooting that left a man dead in the 4700 block of Kennedy Drive.

On July 17, at around 6:50 p.m., officers responded to the scene because a man had died from a gunshot wound to the head.

Detectives from the Shreveport Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit conducted an extensive investigation that resulted in the issuance of an arrest warrant for 23-year-old Everett Henderson.

At around 4:30 a.m. Monday morning, members of the Shreveport Police Department Special Response Team arrested Henderson at a residence in the Pines Road area.

Henderson has been charged with first-degree murder and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Police believe there may be more arrests.
