Montgomery County Police and Hyundai Host Car Theft Prevention Clinic

If you own a Hyundai vehicle that is easily stolen, Montgomery County Police and the automaker can help you.

They are teaming up for an event next weekend at Paint Branch Hill School.

You can get a software update for your car and a steering wheel lock to protect it from theft.

Thefts of Hyundai vehicles have skyrocketed in the region and across the country after a social media trend emerged in 2022 that showed how easy the vehicles are to steal.

The event is aimed at Hyundais built between 2001 and 2021. The clinic will take place on August 2nd and 3rd from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on August 4th from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
