Man shot dead on Elmwood Avenue

The 28-year-old Buffalo man was outside when he was shot, he told police.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A man was shot in the arm Saturday night and his suspected shooter has been arrested, according to a Buffalo police spokesperson.

Around 11:45 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the 100 block of Elmwood Avenue.

The 28-year-old Buffalo man was outside when he was shot, he told police.

After the incident, he was treated at Erie County Medical Center where he was later released, authorities said.

Detectives arrested Vincent Foster, a 39-year-old Buffalo man, for the crime. He is charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon, according to the spokesperson.
