Police investigate murder in Chula Vista – NBC 7 San Diego

Police are investigating a homicide in Chula Vista Friday night.

According to Chula Vista police, officers responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 1400 block of Santa Lucia Road, where they found a man in his 40s with stab wounds.

The victim’s death was confirmed at the crime scene, police said.

Authorities said the male suspect was last seen wearing a black mask, black shirt, dark gray hoodie and dark gray shorts. He was riding a black scooter with blue wheels, according to a dispatch from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department helicopter, which CVPD said is related to this incident.

Chula Vista police said the stabbing did not appear to be a random attack and that they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community.
