Woman lured with job offer, raped in hotel | News from Gurgaon

Gurgaon: A 35-year-old woman was allegedly raped after being offered a job in Pataudi. According to police, she claimed that she was taken to a hotel on the pretext of a job interview, given a sedative-laced drink and raped.

In her complaint, the woman said she was waiting for transport near Pataudi bus stand about a month ago when the accused approached her on a bike, offered her a lift and asked why she was there. The woman replied that she was looking for a job and he immediately offered her his help. He claimed that he could get her a job with a salary of between Rs 12,000 and Rs 15,000. The woman trusted him and gave him her phone number.

“In the following days, the defendant called me several times. On July 12, he invited me for a meeting and asked me to bring my documents,” the woman said.

According to police, the woman met him on July 12 and he took her to a hotel on his bike. There, he handed over her Aadhaar card to a person at the reception and led her to a room. He claimed that the HR department would arrive soon. The accused then offered her a cold drink and soon after she drank it, she felt dizzy. Following this, she was allegedly raped by the accused.

After the incident, the woman threatened the accused that she would file a complaint against him. The accused then deposited Rs 5,000 in her account and threatened to kill her if she reported the incident. Later, the woman narrated her ordeal to her sister, who helped her file a complaint, police said.

A case was registered under sections 123 (causing hurt by poison), 3(5), 351(2) (criminal intimidation) and 69 (sexual intercourse induced by fraudulent means) of the BNS.
