GBI identifies 2 people shot by officers executing search warrant – WSB-TV Channel 2

ALTO, Georgia – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has released the names of two people who were shot while officers attempted to execute a search warrant.

Joshua Emmett, 45, and Meagan Victoria Feaster, 33, died in the shooting at a home near Cedar Drive in Alto on Tuesday afternoon.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office said it has a search warrant for a wanted sex offender who violated his probation. The National Sex Offender Public Website database shows that Emmett is registered as a sex offender at that address.

Forsyth officers first arrived at the Banks County home at about 9:30 a.m. They entered the home at about 11:05 a.m. and a shootout occurred.

According to the GBI, officers shot Emmett and Feaster, who both died at the scene. Neither officer was injured. The Banks County Sheriff’s Office said it assisted in obtaining the search warrant.
