According to police, he raped a pregnant woman and attacked two others

OAKLAND — An Alameda man has been charged with raping one woman and sexually assaulting two others. The attacks all occurred on the same day, court records show.

Teddy Oliver, 22, was charged on July 12 with kidnapping, assault with intent to commit a sex crime, rape, forcible oral sex, sexual assault and second-degree robbery – all felonies. Oliver is being held without bail at the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin and is scheduled to appear in court on July 30 for a bail hearing.

Authorities allege that in the most serious of the three alleged assaults, Oliver dragged a woman from an Alameda pedestrian promenade to a nearby lawn, beat her multiple times, strangled her and raped her. During the sexual assault, he told her she would be “fine” and could go home. The woman reportedly told police that Oliver claimed to have a gun, but she didn’t see one. He also took $600 from her purse.

According to police, the woman told Oliver that she was pregnant, but he did not stop the sexual assault and continued to hit her in the face.

The sexual abuse occurred 10 minutes earlier near Encinal High School, police said. Investigators showed pictures of Oliver to school staff and they recognized him from his time as a student there. When questioned, Oliver admitted to the sexual abuse but denied the more serious allegations, police said in court documents.

Prosecutors accuse Oliver of attacking a third woman “with the intent of rape, sodomy and oral sex” that same day, but police have not released details of the crime.

According to court records, Oliver was arrested the same day the attacks on his Alameda home occurred. He was released pending further investigation and was arrested again on July 11, jail records show.
