OKC police arrest two suspects after a chase ended in a fiery crash

FINALLY there was a wild accident at the intersection of MACARTHUR and Northwest 16th. The car flew before overturning and catching fire. A stolen car speeds through an intersection and jumps into a parking lot. This vehicle was recently in a situation that resembled a robbery. If you look closely shortly after the wreck, you can see the suspect climbing out and running away. Our dog department was able to react. Track the person found hiding in a nearby field. Suspect arrested after collision with stolen car during chase in northwest Oklahoma City

Surveillance video captured the high-speed crash and the subsequent massive police response following the accident

A company’s security cameras captured the moments a stolen car sped through an intersection in northwest Oklahoma City, crashed into a parking lot and caught fire late Thursday night. “This vehicle was recently taken in a robbery,” said MSgt. Dillon Quirk of the Oklahoma City Police Department. The accident occurred at an intersection near Northwest 16th and MacArthur around 11:05 p.m. Wednesday. After the collision, surveillance footage shows the suspect getting out of the wrecked car and fleeing the scene of the accident. “Our K9 unit was able to respond and locate the individual, who was found hiding in a nearby field,” Quirk said. The video captured the high-speed accident and the subsequent massive police response following the crash and into early Thursday morning. Hours later, the damage left at the intersection was obvious. The concrete curb was completely destroyed and the car was thrown onto its side in the parking lot. John Castro, the co-owner of the business the car crashed into, was shocked when he arrived at the scene. “I thought the city had dug something up and just left it dirty,” he said. Castro and his partner had just opened their auto glass shop earlier that month. He didn’t notice the accident until he arrived at work Thursday morning. “It’s kind of random to find all this dirty stuff here. But it’s all good,” Castro said.
