Our goal is to make sure you get the most accurate and up-to-date information about the weather and how it affects you. The new 12News Weather Alerts are just that: alerts as early as possible so you can be armed with accurate information to protect yourself and your family.

When will there be weather warnings?

You may receive a full day weather warning from our 12News Weather Impact Team, meaning severe weather is approaching and you need to take action. Or you may receive a weather warning from us for a few hours on a specific day, meaning you may need to adjust some plans during that time period.

In each case, we will inform you when the danger occurs, how it will affect you and what you need to do. Regardless of the warning, you are warned of any weather that could affect you and your family.
