2 dead after suspected accident under the influence of alcohol near Reedley

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) – Two people were killed in a suspected alcohol-related traffic accident near Reedley.

The California Highway Patrol says the accident occurred Saturday evening on Englehart Avenue and Manning Avenue

According to officials, a Chevrolet Impala traveling south on Englehart failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a Ford F-150 traveling west on Manning.

The cars collided and two men in the Impala were killed.

The occupants of the F-150 suffered minor injuries and are expected to remain unharmed.

The CHP is investigating whether alcohol played a role in the accident.
