Crime in Houston, Texas: Man shot in the face outside club

The victim is expected to survive. He told police he did not know why he was targeted.

HOUSTON — Police are searching for suspects they say shot a man in the face during a robbery outside a west Houston club early Friday morning. The victim’s family later found the victim’s phone at a different location.

The victim was from Dallas and was shot and robbed outside The Perfect 10, a Richmond club between Fountain View and Hillcroft, around 4:55 a.m.

Police tracked the victim’s phone to a location near the club using GPS, only to find that her family members had already found it.

“Unfortunately, he had no idea why they stole it,” said Detective Ken Nealy of the Houston Police Department. “He just said he was at a nightclub and he didn’t know if they liked the clothes and some of the jewelry he was wearing, but that was one of the suspect’s demands, and some of his belongings were confiscated during the theft.

Several members of the victim’s family were allowed to leave after police recovered the weapons from their vehicle. They will be checked to see if they were involved in any crimes. Meanwhile, the victim is expected to survive.

We were checking with management to see if they had any comments or surveillance videos. This is also an issue that the police are looking into.
