Pittsburgh police officer recovers after car crash

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A police officer is recovering at home after being hospitalized overnight following a car crash.

According to Pittsburgh police, the officer was struck shortly after 2 a.m. by a car attempting to make a left turn in the area of ​​Grant Street and Seventh Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh.

The officer injured his head on the patrol car window and was released from the local hospital after an examination.

None of the passengers in the other car were injured.
