Hamilton and Leclerc under investigation after heated training

Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc and several other drivers are being investigated following separate incidents in the closing stages of third practice ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix.

The first pair to be called to the stewards are Hamilton and Lance Stroll, after a collision at turn five.

Hamilton had impeded Stroll on the entry to the corner. However, on the exit of turn five, when he had moved out of the way, Stroll pushed the Mercedes driver to the outside and his W15 collided, while Hamilton waved apologetically.

A few minutes later, another obstruction incident occurred between Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris, who were both also summoned to the race control.

Norris was on the inside of the track when he entered turn six to avoid Leclerc. However, the Monegasque felt he was being impeded and suddenly cut into the front of the McLaren driver, touching his front wing.

Another incident involving Max Verstappen was noted, but quickly canceled as no further action was taken by race control.
