Pickens County woman drowns to death

MARIETTA, SC (WSPA) — Police and the Pickens County Coroner’s Office are investigating a possible drowning that occurred Saturday evening.

According to the coroner’s office, emergency services and fire departments were notified of a possible drowning in a residential building on Armstrong Lane.

Upon arrival, officers found Lisa Marie Blue, who was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency medical services treated her on the scene.

The cause and manner of Blue’s death are currently under investigation.
