Red Dead Redemption 2’s endgame hides a cool Easter Egg

If you’re a regular visitor, you may have heard the following confession before.

Yes I am looking forward Grand Theft Auto VI but I would be lying if I said Red Dead wasn’t my favorite of the two franchises.

The hours I lost trying to Red Dead Redemption 2 … although “lost” might not be the right word, because they were definitely hours well spent.

It is easy to understand why many claim that Red Dead Redemption 2 offers one of the most breathtaking open worlds ever.

It’s packed to the brim with exquisite detail. After multiple playthroughs, I still find myself discovering things (or reading about discoveries) that I’ve never seen before.

I am dying to know what Rockstar Games is planning for the future of the franchise, but for now I am comforted by the fact that I am not sure I will ever tire of Red Dead Redemption 2.

Even though the game doesn’t feature an Undead Nightmare mode like its predecessor, it still hides an Undead Nightmare-esque Easter egg that you may not have seen yet.

This discovery was brought to light by Reddit user BrodytheBeast20, who said, “Found a creepy Easter egg in a well near Tall Trees.”

The accompanying clip shows John Marston in the fountain, illuminated by a lamp before the light goes out and a, well, zombified version of his face appears.

It’s a strange little Easter egg given the lack of Undead Nightmare 2, but I suspect it’s a nice little nod to that fan-favorite mode.

“Holy shit. This is crazy. Fucking sick,” wrote one particularly stunned fan.

“Arthur and John are walking dead men. Cool Easter egg,” agreed another.

Well, I guess I’ll have to go and find this one myself.
