Due to an accident, Highway 24 is closed near I-94 in Clearwater

(KNSI) – Due to an accident on Highway 24, the road is closed at 179th Street near the Clearwater Kwik Trip.

Witnesses at the scene, south of Interstate 94, say one of the vehicles involved was a motorcycle. The driver was killed in the accident.

Avoid the area if possible. Use County Road 145, 17th Avenue East and 160th Street Northwest as alternate routes and expect long traffic delays until Highway 24 reopens.
