Suspect arrested after knife attack on woman in southeast Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – A once “armed and dangerous” suspect was arrested after attacking a female victim in southeast Charlotte on Wednesday. According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

Josiah Maitland, 19, was arrested Thursday. The robbery occurred around 6 p.m. at Randolph Road and Sam Drenan Road.

According to police, Maitland attacked the victim with a knife as she left work and then ran away.

He was last seen in the area before his arrest and authorities urged the public not to approach him as he may have been armed.
