1 dead, 2 injured in head-on collision in Pickens Co.

PICKENS COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – One person died and two others were injured in a head-on collision Sunday evening in Six Mile.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the accident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. on SC 137 near Cedar Lane Circle.

Police said a Dodge RAM was traveling south when it collided with an oncoming Hyundai Elantra.

According to police, the driver of the Hyundai died.

A passenger in the Hyundai and the driver of the Dodge RAM were both taken to a local hospital for their injuries.

The Pickens County Coroner’s Office has not released the identity of the victim at this time.

The crash remains under investigation by the SCHP.
