Woman and child found dead in car in South Park, Allegheny County

On Friday evening, a woman and child were found dead in a vehicle in South Park. Police said they received a call Friday afternoon to check on the welfare of a 43-year-old woman and a 10-year-old girl. Later that evening, police found the woman’s car parked on Diana Grove in South Park. When investigators approached the vehicle, they found the bodies of the woman and child inside. Allegheny County police are investigating. They say preliminary reports did not indicate “obvious signs of injury” to either person. The identities of the woman and child have not been released.
