One dead, no arrests in Augusta overnight murder

Augusta, GA (WJBF) – A shooting in Augusta has left one person dead.

It happened early Wednesday morning at the corner of Tudor Drive and Carp Drive, which is off Gordon Highway.

Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen confirms to NewsChannel 6 that the victim was shot at least once.

The victim was pronounced dead at 12:49 a.m

An autopsy will be performed.

At this time, no arrest information nor the victim’s name has been released pending notification of next of kin.
