Charles Buist fights for clients at Spetsas Buist Accident Injury Lawyers

Charles Buist experienced the hardships that a car accident can bring early in his childhood. After his parents were injured in a car accident caused by a vehicle defect, his childhood was never the same again. His feelings of helplessness after the accident left a mark on him.

Raised by a father who happened to be a dentist, Charles Buist spent a lot of time in his father’s practice as a child. As a result, he began working as a dental assistant at a young age. However, as Charles Buist witnessed cases where patients came to his father after suffering dental injuries, he was confronted with the harsh reality of negligent or even reckless dental practices. Driven to give them a voice and guide them on the path to justice, he eventually pursued a career as a trial lawyer after graduating from law school.

“As a personal injury lawyer, one of the most challenging aspects of my practice is battling large corporations and insurance companies,” says Buist. “These companies often have tremendous resources and teams of experienced attorneys, making them formidable opponents in litigation.”

However, Buist says that by building strong cases supported by compelling evidence and using his negotiation skills honed over years of practice, he has challenged opposing parties and obtained favorable outcomes for his clients. Buist says his commitment to treating his clients like family drives him to devote himself fully to their cases, which range from car accidents and slip and falls to dog bite cases.

For this dedication, Buist was recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star Lawyer and by the National Trial Lawyers as one of the Top 40 Under 50 in 2023. He was also selected for inclusion on the Super Lawyers Rising Star list in Florida, which is awarded to only 2.5% of the state’s lawyers.
