Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office investigates dead teenager found in Pajarito Mesa

BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM (KRQE) – The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after the body of a teenager was found in Paraito Mesa.

The body of 16-year-old Jesus Quintana Cota was found around 4 p.m. on May 19. According to authorities, the body had at least one gunshot wound.

Investigators were able to identify Cota when his family reported him missing. The sheriff’s office is investigating the case as a homicide and is asking the public for help in determining the circumstances of Cota’s death.
