Dog found dead after house fire in Sheboygan County

HOLLAND, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Sheboygan County say a dog was found dead following a house fire Wednesday evening.

According to a press release from the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, at 7:45 p.m. a passerby called 9-1-1 to notify emergency responders of a burning house on W3236 County Road A in the town of Holland.


The passerby said smoke and flames could be seen coming from the house and when firefighters arrived, they found no one was inside.

While no one was injured in the incident, fire officials said a dog was pronounced dead at the scene.

There is currently no information on the cause of the fire and the investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
