Omaha police identified the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash. Officers arrived at the scene near 13th and Bancroft streets around 4:30 p.m. Monday. Investigation of the crash revealed that a red 2015 Buick Enclave driven by Kathryn Jones of Lincoln attempted to turn south onto 13th Street. Police said she entered 13th Street in front of a northbound black Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Robert Rasmussen of Omaha. Rasmussen was thrown from the motorcycle. He was taken to the hospital where he died. Jones was charged with negligent homicide and failure to yield the right of way. The investigation into the crash is ongoing. Omaha police have identified the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash.

On Monday, officers arrived at the scene near 13th and Bancroft Streets around 4:30 p.m.

The investigation into the accident revealed that a red 2015 Buick Enclave driven by Kathryn Jones of Lincoln attempted to turn south onto 13th Street.

According to police, she turned onto 13th Street and collided with a northbound black Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Robert Rasmussen of Omaha.

Rasmussen was thrown from the motorcycle.

He was taken to the hospital where he died.

Jones was charged with negligent homicide and failure to yield the right of way.

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
