According to police, 5 people were shot in the Meadowview neighborhood in south Sacramento, including a teenager

SACRAMENTO – Five people were shot in the Meadowview neighborhood in south Sacramento, police said Monday evening.

The five victims include three adult men, one adult woman and a young girl, Sacramento police said. The severity of the injuries is not yet known, but police confirmed that no one was killed.

It happened around 8 p.m. in front of an apartment complex on Coral Gables Court, just off Meadowview Road. This area was cordoned off for some time, but residents have since been allowed to return to their homes.

The circumstances of the shooting are still under investigation. Police said a suspect is still at large.

Sacramento police said they believe all of the victims knew each other, but it is not yet clear whether some or all of the victims are related.
