3 players we don’t want to start for the 2024 Atlanta Falcons

There is always those players you don’t want to see in the starting lineup come on Sundays in the fall. Three years ago it was Jalen Mayfield, the year after Ade Ogundeji’s recent release, and last year it was Richie Grant.

Let’s cut to the chase and look at three players who we hope won’t make the Atlanta Falcons 2024 starting lineup.

Lorenzo Carter is a good player, don’t get me wrong, but he’s a good rotation player who shouldn’t be a starter.

The truth is he will likely be in the starting lineup unless rookie Bralen Trice shines this offseason. Arnold Ebiketie will be the counterpart based on play calls.

Carter can get you six or seven sacks, stats that aren’t worth starting (for most teams). The Falcons need someone to step up and become a starting-level edge rusher to keep Carter from playing the majority of snaps.
