Man shot in Raleigh Park on Sunday evening, police said

RALEIGH, NC – Police are investigating a shooting Sunday evening that left one person hospitalized in Raleigh.

According to Raleigh police, the shooting occurred around 5:42 p.m. in Worthdale Park on Sunnybrook Road.

According to police, the victim, an adult male, was taken in a private vehicle to the intersection of Poole Road and Sunnybrook Road, where he was encountered by emergency services. Emergency services took the man to the hospital.

The man has serious injuries.

Police say there are currently no suspects in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
