Civil Defense arrests Ondo farmers for raping 14-year-old daughter

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has arrested a farmer, Abraham Achibong, in Ondo for allegedly molesting his daughter.

Mr Achibong, 40, was arrested in the rape of his 14-year-old daughter (name withheld).

The Ondo Commander of the NSCDC, Ibiloye Oluyemi, paraded the suspect along with two other suspects before journalists in Akure said Mr Achibong was arrested following complaints.

Mr. Oluyemi, in a statement by the command’s spokesman, Daniel Aidamenbor, said the accused sexually molested his daughter for six years.

“This went on for six years until the girl (name withheld) plucked up the courage to confide in her teacher a few days ago when Ondo State Primary Health Care workers visited her school as part of a human papilloma virus vaccine sensitization program.

“The suspect has since confessed to the crime and will be charged in court for his rape, molestation and incest,” he said.

The NSCDC command arrested two other suspects, Agu Nzube Matthew and Ojo Oluwasola, for alleged fraud and theft.
