LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Today is a WAVE Weather Alert Day. Our first wave of thunderstorms will move into the region around midday, followed by more isolated thunderstorms throughout the afternoon and evening. Damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes are possible. A band of thunderstorms is racing south this evening with the cold front; After midnight most areas will be quiet again. It will be humid and warm overnight, with lows in the 60s. Patchy fog is possible until Wednesday morning.

Tomorrow is another alert day. Between 2:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. ET, another wave of strong storms will move through the area, creating a significant risk of widespread damaging winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes. Please remain weather aware. The significant risk of severe weather will decrease after midnight on Wednesday evening, but further showers and thunderstorms are possible until dawn on Thursday morning. Expect lows in the 60s.
