The rifle police are investigating a hit-and-run

RIFLE, Colo. (KREX) – Police in Rifle are still investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred at 4:50 a.m. on April 29 on the Rifle River Bridge.

Ramon Chacon was struck and killed by a 2005 to 2010 silver Jeep Grand Cherokee with possibly tinted windows.

The vehicle is believed to have significant damage to the front end and hood.

Rifle Police Chief Debra Funston released a statement saying, “Our thoughts are with the family and friends affected by this devastating incident. “Our thoughts are with them and we extend our condolences to them during this difficult time “Our deepest condolences as they navigate their grief.”
