Reward offered for information in murder investigation | Local

TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – Authorities are offering a $2,500 reward for information in a murder case that could lead to an arrest.

On March 27, police responded to a report of a robbery in the 9300 block of East Pikes Peak Drive.

When officers arrived, they found 24-year-old Matthew Rubink with clear signs of blunt force trauma.

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Detectives learned that the victim was in the area between South Cherry Avenue and East Broadway Blvd early that morning when he was attacked by an unknown man.

Rubink made his way to the address on East Pikes Peak Drive, complaining of a headache, as residents called 911 to report the attack.

On April 22, Rubink succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
