Motorcyclist killed in hit-and-run on Indy’s west side

INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating after a man and a woman were killed in a hit-and-run crash Sunday morning.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to the crash in the 3500 block of Lafayette Road on Indy’s west side just after 1:00 a.m.

According to police, a man and a woman were walking on Lafayette Road when they were struck by a car. Both victims succumbed to their injuries, police said.

Investigators believe the driver of the car fled before police arrived at the scene.
