3 injured in T-bone crash on American Avenue in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA (July 24, 2024) – Three people were injured in a side-on collision at the corner of American Avenue and Cleveland Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash occurred around 3:58 a.m. Tuesday. For an unknown reason, one vehicle struck the side of another at the intersection. Shortly thereafter, paramedics arrived in the Gardenland neighborhood of Sacramento and found a man and two women who had to be taken to the hospital for unknown injuries.

The traffic investigators did not provide any information about the cause of the accident, nor whether drunk driving, inattentive driving or driving too fast played a role.

If you drive late at night, visibility may be limited. Although the roads are less busy at this time, there is still a chance of an accident. Watch for reckless drivers, as impaired motorists are more common late at night and early in the morning. Be cautious at intersections and highways.
