The driver of the accident in which several motorcyclists were killed remains disqualified

The truck driver involved in a 2019 crash that killed seven motorcyclists, including a former Plymouth, Massachusetts police sergeant, will be banned from driving for at least two years.

The ruling came Wednesday after driver Volodymyr Zhukovskyy of West Springfield, Massachusetts, attempted to regain his license in New Hampshire, WCVB reported.

According to his lawyer, the decision involves the maximum suspension of his driving license permitted by law, but retroactively to June 2019. This means that Zhukovskyy could apply again to regain his driving license in about two years.

The ruling means Zhukovskyy can no longer legally drive in New Hampshire and other states. His lawyer said they are considering a possible appeal.
