Shop Local and Find Waldo at These Small Businesses in Houston

Houston – Houston’s oldest bookstore is celebrating its 50th anniversary and encouraging Houstonians to shop small with Waldo, the famous red-and-white striped book character.

Brazos Bookstore is one of 22 businesses participating in a citywide scavenger hunt called Find Waldo Local. It aims to support small businesses that appeal to kids and parents. Each business will hide a small Waldo on site for families to search for. As with every Waldo puzzle, each store will find unique ways to hide it.

Most participating businesses will offer additional activities during the hunt, such as breakfast tacos at Cochinita and Co. or playing a board game at Coral Sword.

Groups that find at least 10 Waldos will be eligible to win prizes at the Brazos Bookstore, including coupons for Waldo books. They will also be invited back for a closing party on August 3, featuring Waldo-themed games and raffle prizes donated by participating businesses.
