QUEENS, NY (PIX11) – Police have released the identity of a 20-year-old man who allegedly committed a stabbing in Queens on Thursday.

Pedro Felix of Queens is accused of stabbing his 8-year-old half-brother to death before stabbing his father and stepmother, authorities said. The incident occurred around 5:15 p.m. in an apartment on the corner of 94th Avenue and Sutphin Boulevard in Jamaica, according to the NYPD.

Officers responding to the call fired a single shot at Felix, killing him, authorities said. An 8-month-old baby was rescued from the apartment by officers, police said. She was physically unharmed.

Police believe the incident began as a domestic dispute that quickly escalated.

Both the father and stepmother were taken to a hospital and their condition is stable, authorities said.
