Suspect in hospital after police shooting and chase in West Jordan

WEST JORDAN, Utah – A suspect was taken to the hospital with injuries after shooting a West Jordan police officer Friday and then starting a chase.

Police were called to a residence for a suspected domestic violence incident. Upon arrival, the suspect shot an officer.

The man then led the officer on a chase that ended with the suspect being taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Police have closed the street from 9000 to 9800 South along 1300 West.
