Savannah Bananas invade Sahlen Field this weekend

Buffalo, New York (WBEN) – Downtown will be packed this weekend, as the Savannah Bananas will be at Sahlen Field from Friday night through Sunday afternoon for three sold-out Banana Ball games. Tickets have been in high demand for several months, as a ticket lottery was held in November. The Bananas have been described as baseball’s version of the Harlem Globetrotters.

On July 16, Buffalo Pro Soccer will celebrate Day 716 with its third citywide event, this time at Lloyd Taco Factory in Williamsville. Donations of soccer equipment will also be accepted at the event, with items going to Soccer for Success, a development program in Western New York.

Hideaway Bay Resort, a new Lake Erie resort in the village of Silver Creek, is nearly fully booked for the summer, according to Buffalo Business First. The resort features 10 private cottages and a beach bar. The Hideaway Bay restaurant previously occupied the site before it burned in 2020.
