Rescue workers rescue victims after early morning two-vehicle crash on I-75

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A victim was extricated from a heavily damaged vehicle following a two-vehicle crash on I-75 early this morning.

According to a press release from Alachua County Fire Rescue (ACFR), units from ACFR and Gainesville Fire Rescue were called to a crash at the 386 mile marker southbound on I-75 around 5:00 a.m. this morning. Crews found a two-vehicle crash with both vehicles leaving the roadway with heavy damage.

One victim had to be extricated using rescue shears, which took less than 20 minutes. ACFR reported that the victim suffered only minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
