Two dead in car crash near Carlin

CARLIN, Nevada (KOLO) – Two people died and two others were critically injured in an accident near Carlin on Monday, Nevada State Police said Wednesday.

The accident occurred around 7:05 a.m. Monday on Nevada 278, about 2 miles south of Carlin.

According to NSP, a black Ford Expedition was traveling north when the driver drove it off the right side of the road. It went down an embankment and overturned, NSP said.

The driver and right passenger died; two other passengers were seriously injured and taken to hospital. The names of the deceased are not being released until next of kin have been notified.
