Fifteen gun-related arrests were made in Buffalo during the week of June 24.

Buffalo police said they recovered 11 firearms during the arrests.

Among those arrested was a Buffalo man with four prior convictions. Ernest Bishop, 38, was arrested June 25 in the first block of Grace Street and found in possession of a loaded Smith & Wesson .422, police said. Bishop was remanded in custody.

That same day, two men, ages 16 and 14, suspected of killing 3-year-old Ramone “Red” Carter on Domedion Avenue were arrested, and police said they recovered a Kel Tec P-40 pistol. The shooting, which occurred four days before the arrests, also injured Carter’s sister, 7-year-old Jamia Griffin.

Additionally, on June 28, Jakob Jerla, 34, and Joseph Gugliuzza, 54, both of Lockport, were arrested in the 300 block of 7th Street and a Ruger 9 mm was recovered, police said.
