Aaron Dillon dies in head-on collision with motorcycle on Skyway near Powellton Road

BUTTE COUNTY, CA (July 1, 2024) — Aaron Dillon died in a head-on collision with a motorcycle on the Skyway near Powellton Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle crash occurred at 7 p.m. Thursday. For an unknown reason, a Magalia juvenile was riding his motorcycle southbound in the northbound lanes of the Skyway. Dillon, 31, of Stirling City, entered the northbound lane before the motorcycles collided head-on.

Due to his injuries, Dillon died at Enloe Hospital around 3:00 a.m. on Friday. The teenager was taken by paramedics to UC Davis Medical Center for further treatment.

Authorities did not confirm the cause of the accident or whether speeding, drunk driving or inattentive drivers played a role.
