Police search for man who attacked tram driver at St. Pete Pier

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – St. Petersburg police are searching for a man they say attacked a streetcar driver on the pier earlier this month.

It is unclear what led to the attack, but surveillance video shows some sort of argument between the man and the victim on June 9. The man lunges at the driver, knocking him onto a seat and then onto the sidewalk in front of the streetcar.

On June 9, the victim was riding the streetcar at the St. Pete Pier on Saturday when he was attacked by a passenger. The victim suffered minor injuries.
