Allegedly armed suspect arrested after chase through North Hollywood

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department are pursuing an allegedly armed suspect driving a white pickup truck.

During the chase with officers, the suspect could be observed driving through parking lots, speeding through intersections and taking shortcuts into the oncoming lane.

On country roads they sometimes drove at speeds of up to 80 miles per hour.

Shortly after 10 p.m., the driver made a quick stop near Riverside Drive in Studio City, where several patrol cars quickly pulled up. Officers could be seen pointing their guns at the truck while the driver and passenger stuck their hands out the windows in surrender.

Both were taken into custody without further incident.
