Staunton police and Fugitive Task Force arrest two people in connection with May stabbing

The Staunton Police Department And U.S. Marshals Regional Task Force for the National Capital Region arrested two people for their alleged role in a stabbing last month in Staunton.

Zachery Taylor Head33, from Staunton, and Raven Ciara Mai25, of Staunton, were taken into custody Monday.

Both are being held without bail Middle River Regional Jail.

The arrests followed an incident in 7-Eleven at 427 N. Coalter St.

On May 18 at 3:26 a.m., a 911 call reported a stabbing victim in the supermarket. The suspects fled the scene before police arrived.

Officers discovered that a robbery and assault had occurred at a nearby residence.

The victim was a 25-year-old, unidentified man who suffered minor injuries.

Head was charged with robbery, malicious wounding and burglary.

May was charged with robbery, burglary, use or display of a firearm in the commission of a felony and brandishing a firearm.

The investigations are still ongoing.
